off camera snooted flash down and to the right and umbrella light bouncing off the wall on the left. Self portraits are not that easy..haha! comments are welcome.

    I'm no pro but I have to say #2. The fist, albeit more dramatic, is not quite as flattering as the 2nd. Now #2 seems to have the expression, exposure, and lighting I like.

    I'm almost wondering if a bit more light on the top of your head may be cool. Just enough to slightly illuminate a portion of your hair?

    Either way I agree, self portraits are always a struggle for me.

    I agree, number two I like. And, yes, self portraits are very difficult. A hair light would be a good idea.
