I'm getting ready to shoot a series of shots at this location either today or tomorrow. But I have these from a month or so ago. They're fine, but I think I can improve on them. I like the second one, but if the clouds will cooperate, I should be able to get an even more dramatic image. We'll see.

The site is the Compton Hill Reservoir in South St. Louis. Constructed in the 1870's, it's now a park on Grand Ave.

Pretty stunning Jeff, I love the angles and the dramatic sky... hope you have as much luck with the sky as you did with these... Next time I visit my brother we will have to hook up for a Dgrin meet up... thumb.gif

I prefer #1. Love the HDR effects you get without HDR clap.gifclap.gif

Thanks, Winston. Yes, let's get together, or should I say: meet me in St. Louis! rolleyes1.gif

Thanks, Dan! It's just a matter of manipulating all that data in a RAW file just right. mwink.gif

I think the clouds turned out pretty well, but what do I know?

I like both shots, I might try re-composing the second as a vertical composition and include more stairs and less sky (and shoot from a lower POV), but it looks good as is too.
