Backyard shot taken from a blind

Adjustments made from suggestions by Emily, Harry, and RaptorCaptor:

(P.S. it's about a 50% crop for both pics above, and you may notice a slightly different head position which I hope looks better.)

Wow. I love how sharp and clear this little baby is. And that tangerine bokeh is gorgeous. iloveyou.gifiloveyou.gifclap.gif

Ooo...I really like this! Such nice detail and the expression is fantastic. Personally, I'd crop off a good bit of the dead space on the left, making the shot just on the vertical side. That totally draws me into the scene and keeps me there.

Thanks Emily :) I've been going back and forth on vertical or horizontal orientation on this one. Plus cropping a bit more all around to cut down the dead space. Still haven't decided the final configuration :)

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Great capture Kurt! love the colors. clap.gif I would Keep the dead space on the left, and crop about 1/8th from the bottom! just my 2cents.

Great catch!!! The bokeh is, indeed, terrific!

If it were me, I'd just move the whole crop up a bit to give equal space at top and left.

Tried the vertical crop on a second image from the shoot, with what I hope is a better head position too. I put it in the original post under the previous pic.
