Nice set of images. First time I've ever seen images of a pelican standing in snow and ice. I thought they prefered warmer climates ne_nau.gif

    Thanks guys.

I think pelican do like warmer weather, but it seems like there is always a few that stay year round.
These were taken by a power plant, so the water is warmer than what it seems.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Thanks again folks.

Glenn, in shot 3, it was either fluffing it's feathers for warmth, or squeezing the water out.
It was doing this behavior for 15 minutes, then someone got to close (not me) and it jumped/flew back into the water.

Great looking series Davev. The landing shot is the best of the series.
