Cleaning up more files today. Went back through my first ever bird images from April '08. Snow Geese near Mount Vernon, WA during the tulip festival. Intersting going back through these. We were there to photograph flowers so all I had for a long lens was a VERY innexpensive Sigma 100-300 f/4.5-6.7 AF. Between bad light and a slow lens, it was rough sledding. Plus the AF was so slow I had to go manual. So my first venture into BIF images was using manual focus :huh But it was interesting going through these images. I've learned a lot since then plus it was a good comparison of my equipment. Even the images that were decently lit and in focus have a lot of fringing and CA. But I did find one or two I'd passed over the first go around that were of adequate IQ to make passable images for the web (after substantial PP).

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
