Hello :) I'm going to work on a How-To for new photographers at my school paper, for fun, and I need some help.

I'm looking for funny catch phrases, expressions or sayings about photography or cameras. For example...

"I shoot people," "I see dead pixels" or "Photographers do it with the lens cap off"

If you know of any, please feel free to share them, and when my project is done, I will make sure you see what they were used for.

    "what does this button do?"

I have actually said "What's it doing now?" out loud. At my own familiar camera.

They told me to turn mirror lock-up off - at which there was a kind of smacking sound from the direction of my forehead.

Its only trespassing if you get caught.

    Size does matter.

It doesn't matter how many you can shoot. It matters how many you keep.

    Photo sayings
Don't know who actually originated this often stated saying:
    "f8 and be there"

I think I heard this from Craig Tanner (paraphrased):

Talking of Ansel Adams, one of my favourite quotes is "The single most important part of a camera is the twelve inches behind it."

When I told this to my girlfriend, quick as a dart she replied "Yeah right, you wish." rolleyes1.gif
