lost resizing program
:dunno HELP!!!! before the great crash a few years ago, i downsized all my pictures to save them to floppies.. remember floppies? that was before everyone had burners.. anyhoo, i had this wonderful little program that would upsize any pic to an 8x10 without loosing resolution.. of course i did not back up this gem or even write down the name.. the pictures were taken with a cheapie poleroid photo max and i always thought i could get another, better shot of this subject.. i waited too many winters and would now like to have this picture enlarged for his memorial page.. if anyone can help here... please

Did you really mean that you want a 8 inch x 10 inch from this little picture? A postcard may be possible, but bigger than that would be magic.
I hope that somebody else can do a little of magic here.
Sorry for your loss, :cry

Well, of course your not losing resolution if you are up-sizing, you are gaining pixels. What you cannot do, however, is gain detail. Nonetheless, your best bet is the 10% uprezzing trick in Photoshop, as already mentioned. Use bicubic smoother when going up in pixel count, and bicubic sharper when going down in pixel count. Also, from what I heard, use 8-bit mode, not 16-bit mode. Apparantly the 10% trick works due to math round-off error, strangely enough.
