Hello,

I am new to SmugMug and Digital Grin.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to make a journal page that I can use for my photographer bio and/or actual journals from certain shoots?

You might consider locking a gallery into journal style. That gives you side-by-side photos and captions. Here's an example from my site - http://www.denisegoldberg.com/gallery/3175657_h2V6S.

Or, you could create an html-only gallery with interspersed text and photos. My Kaleidoscope gallery is an example of that type of gallery - http://www.denisegoldberg.com/gallery/2659217.

Is there a setting to do the locking gallery? I like the way that looks.

Go to "customize gallery" for the gallery you want to set to journal style. In the look & feel section, select gallery style of journal.
