After many frustrating months of trying to figure out what was going on with my samsung monitor, I was finally able to return it. So now I'm in need of a new one soon. Who has one they love and would recomend? I'm looking for a 24".

Thank you.

    The great 24" monitor search
Just last night I finished my decision process after much "googling" and thought. For me, the answer is the HP LP2475W. In the $500-$600 price range, this one seems best. If you want to spend more, the NEC LCD2690UXi-2 is just becoming available, but this is in $1,000 to $1,200 range.

Now I'm looking for the best price with a reputable dealer. On top so far is provantage.com macmall.com has open box stock for $65 less, but I'm not inclined to take the risk of missing pieces.

I've (tried to) attached a .pdf of a simple spreadsheet of the considerations, price and a few features. I kept most of the trade offs in my head - this was just notes to myself, but it might be helpful.

I received the Colorvision Spyder2 Suite for Christmas for calibration. Anyone have advice on this? I'm reading that others are better now...

    Thanks!

    I have the HP
I have the HP monitor you listed and LOVE it. Problem is that I bought 2, thinking that I would use dual monitors, but I have found for my work, that 2 monitors isnt much of a concern. So while it is cool to have 2, it isnt practical.

If you decide to go with this monitor, I would be happy to discuss selling you my extra one. I have had them only a couple of months and bought new from reputable commercial dealer. Can provide the receipt and all info that came with the monitor. The monitor is swivel, tilt, pivot and adjustable height, Or any other info you might need from or about me.

    Let me know

www.newegg.com and www.tigerdirect.com have some great monitors for excellent prices. I personally have used samsung monitors for a long time and loved them.
