Browser closing when uploading pics??

Every time I upload pics, my browser closes. Sometimes (maybe 50%) it says firefox has encountered a error and has to close, the rest of the time, nothing it just closes. Sometimes I get maybe 1 of the pics I was trying to upload, the rest, no pics.

Is there a gliche, or trick I don't know about?:scratch
I already tried the tutorial to make windows xp stay awake during uploads.. and that didn't help.

I'd love to use smugmug for my site, when my trial period is done, but this concerns me.

    Could you try updating your java? You can get it from www.java.com clicking on 'free java download'.
