Does anyone know of a Mac desktop app that supports uploading to SmugMug?

Applications like MarsEdit and ecto allows uploading directly to flickr but is there someone who supports SmugMug?

Did you check the blogging section on our apps wiki page? Maybe you can find a program listed on there that would fit your needs.

This plug-in for Lightroom provides direct image upload to SmugMug galleries from Lightroom catalogues, and I believe there are other photo management applications (Photoshop Elements, for example?) that can do the same.

I'm not aware of any standalone application for this function. ne_nau.gif

There is one for Aperture also ... but I have never got it to work properly (FlickrExport for Aperture is so much better ... except that is doesn't upload to SmugMug mwink.gif ).

The thing is that it's really nice to be able to upload stuff from your blog application and directly get the correct linking ... although it would be even better to be able to upload from Aperture and create links at once. I do this when I upload images to a custom blog site and it's really nice ...

Why not upload your photo to smug first and then reference it in your blog?

You can either create the <a href= and <img src statements yourself, or if you're on a Mac, you might want to try this app - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=96150&highlight=blog.

Ohh, this is what I do now. I upload them using MacDaddy, and then insert custom tags (which I then convert to HTML using a custom plugin for Wordpress that I've written) in my blog posts. It's just that it's so easy to use MarsEdit and do the uploading etc in one step ... perhaps the correct thing would be to wish for a applescriptable version of MacDaddy.
