<style></style>I am struggling to understand the workings of sharpening in ACR with Elements 6. Previously I had settled for the default settings, but there must be many times when they would be better varied. Are there any online tutorials that would give me some guidance?

Any thoughts appreciated

For me, the most important thing to remember about sharpening in ACR is to zoom in to 100% first (you can do this by double clicking on the magnifying glass).

Of course, every picture is different, but. . . .

I usually use the clarity slider first and don't often go higher than 25.

On the Sharpening tab, I usually only adjust the amount slider (somewhere between 25 & 75) and the masking slider. I use the masking slider for pix of babies and other soft items.
