Here is my first foray into Macro in any serious way. I have the Sigma 70-300 APO lens and used that for this.

This is a crop from original. Not heavy post processing except for :
  • in Lightroom > Develop > Punch setting
  • in Lightroom > Develp > Auto WB
  • in Lightroom > Develop > slight increase in contrast
  • in Lightroom > some Spot Removal
  • crop
  • Shot in JPEG mode.
Appreciate any feedback.

LOvely start, looks good. I started macro with that lens and actually found it very difficult to use.

I really like the graphic nature of the image. The parallel bold red oblongs over the white blobs - it's less of a picture of a flower to me than a picture of colors and shapes. I appreciate when a photograph redefines something for me, adds a new perspective. So my hat's off to you. Well done.
