Can't login

Yesterday morning I tried to log in to my site and, after entering my ID & password, https://secure.smugmug.com/login.mg never responded. Same thing happened just now. All I get after entering ID & password is a blank screen.
Just tried again and now even the screen to get to the ID/password screen (https://secure.smugmug.com/login.mg?goTo=http%3A%2F%2Fbeautyofnaturephotography.com%2F) isn't responding.
What's up?

Hi, the site is up and repsonding normally... please try clearing your browser cache completely, closing and reopening your browser, and trying again. Thanks.

Did that -- still no joy. Tried using FF, IE, and even Opera; same (non)result.
    Any other ideas?

UPDATE - Got it to work under IE, but still no luck in FF. Guess I'll have to access through Microsoft until I can find the problem in FF.

Give it another try. In your SmugMug control panel, you had entered beautyofnaturephotography.com instead of www.beautyofnaturephotography.com . I've added the www in front and maybe that fixed your issue.

The site has been listed as beautyofnaturephotography.com since I joined SM last June and there was no problem until a couple of days ago. I still can not log in (the page doesn't respond) through FF.
I was under the impression that www did not have to be part of a URL and its absence from my URL had not previously been a problem. I'm sure you know far more than I do about such things, but something that had not caused a problem for over six months suddenly being the source of a problem now seems unlikely, don't you think?

Have you checked your Firefox cookie settings? Go here and make sure that you also accept 'third party cookies'.

How exactly do you login? Here's how it should work:
    1. Go to your domain
    2. click on the login button
    3. enter your login details and hit login
    4. you won't show logged in on your domain
    5. refresh the page in your browser and you'll be logged in.

Try accessing it directly via your smugmug.com url, ie, USERNAME.smugmug.com. Sounds like there could be a DNS issue from your custom URL to the SM one.

    1. OK
    2. In FF, that results in the browser being pointed at https://secure.smugmug.com/login.mg?goTo=http%3A%2F%2Fbeautyofnaturephotography.com%2F and that page does not display. That is the end of the line.
SM is expressly authorized to set scripts, cookies, and generally run wild, but clicking on login on my SM domain page results in a blank screen, period.

Thanks, Andy, that works under FF. I've never had to login in this way before and it is also contrary to the advice I was getting from SM in previous posts. When did this become SOP?

Sorry for giving you the wrong info. The official policy on this didn't change. We've always adviced to login like it's in our help pages. It did work for me otherwise and that's why I gave you the wrong advice, but it was never official policy. The gotcha has been in our help pages at least since the beginning of 2006.

No problem, Sebastian, I certainly knew SM wouldn't intentionally lead me astray and the method you described had always worked for me too -- until a couple of days ago. There still has to be a reason what worked for me for six months suddenly doesn't work anymore, but the important thing is that I have a way to log into my site again.

    Alles gutte,

My Login has done the same
I have had SmugMug for three years and have always logged in from my Home page, I loaded FF this weekend and changed my NavBar and after this I also could not log in unless I went to the SmugMug Link. Also I was able to go in from FF but not IE. Now when I try to load a photo and I first click it to the loadup page, the photo has strange colors on it. I wonder if there are some settings that I need to look at.
Updated:...............I just attempted to load the same photo and it works fine now. I agree with Jerry, something changed. Maybe it was me installing FF?

Something happened, I was able to login in the afternoon and now I can't unless I don't use my custom domain, this is with IE7. FF works just fine. I am working with the help desk but just thought others would want to know they are not alone.
