Is there a way to password a Sharegroup or Category?

Hi Dave - the only way to do this right now is to have every gallery in the category password protected. There isn't a way to protect the whole category. Sorry!

Reading a similar thread a while ago, someone was asking to set pricing for a category or sub-category. Having category settings could save a lot of time and benefit ShareGroups tremendously.
What is the best way to suggest this to the Family?

I would like to suggest that:
Users can set certain parameters that control multiple Galleries, including password and pricing. I am not sure how far SmugIslands goes as a concept yet (still learning), it would allow me, for example, to send a link to a ShareGroup for multiple Galleries a client or friend would have access to, without them having to keep re-entering passwords. Administratively, setting up pricing for that grouping as well would save time. Or, maybe pricing could be set up by Category and/or by Sub-Category, and passwords by ShareGroup.
I have a group that I set up as a ShareGroup for Galleries that are unlisted and password protected. I am thinking about viewer convenience.
Hi, I would also like to vote for sharegroup level passwords. Ideally a guest with a link to a sharegroup could enter one password which will give him/her access to all galleries within the sharegroup... whether or not the galleries were already password protected. On a side note, it would also be nice that once a sharegroup is viewed, we could track hits and ips, but I'm sure that would be a much larger project.
