I decided to try this and figured if I posted it here, I would
feel guilty if I didn't give a good Ole American Try :D :deal

For my personal Wildlife Photography I'm going to:

use a D300 & D2Hs as backup
only use one lens 300 AFS Ver11 + TC 1.7 when needed
gitzo Monopod
aim for shots that show peak action or interaction.

Something like this but better of course :rofl :rolleyes
This shot is my starting point however

My 2009 Photo resolution is going to be 10.2 MP :)

Joking aside, I saw that exact situation in my back yard. All the crows didn't appreciate the hawk that landed in our tree. They chased it wherever it landed till it was about 4 blocks away.

That's a fine resolution Ben and a good start. My humble suggestion is that since you ahve two cameras why not put a lens on the second body? Perhaps an inexpensive zoom like the 70-300 so you can get the capture where the 300 + the 1.7 is too much glass. The 300 f/4 and the 1.7 TC is my main lens BTW.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
