18+: Playing with scarves
I got some more time on my hands after a round of S*E coding, so I processed a few more pictures from my last shoot.
#1: Joy:
#2: Sail:
#3: Twister:
#4: "Grendel Modor"
And just to give you guys an idea how the original color versions looked like:
#5: Pensive:
Enjoy! C&C welcome!

Just out of curiosity, what do guys you think of these two versions of #4:
#4.1: Original color:
#4.2: Basic BW:
Thoughts, comments, snide remarks?
I am going to have to say original. The colors are striking, the contrast fantastic, and the play of light draws the eye around the image.
The line of light that runs from her elbow down across the hip while at first a tad distracting, blends to create a very nice abstract once the eyes take in the whole image.

I like the funky processing in the original post all the way back up top. Not sure why but I really dig it. And what's this I hear about S*E coding? Looks like I should have checked the site a few days ago, didn't notice your new years update I was beginning to think you'd forgotten about S*E w/ no updates since April to the program and your numerous photo posts on here indicated that was occupying more of your time, hehe.
I'm really excited about the coming soon mentioned in there too... ooo,

As to S*E - get the beta 204, you'll love it:-)
These remind me of Cultural dances where people dance around twisting and spinning the cloths around them in that alluring fashion.

- Oh, awesome timing on the capture of the scarf!
- Wow! The lines! The light!
- #$^%! OMG! I'm floored. Amazing.
- How the heck did he get her to look like metal?
One of my favorite sets using all that cloth of yours, Nik. But #3, hands down, my favorite capture of the bunch. Simply stunning. (one more for good measure)It has been a REALLY long time since I've been here on dgrin....and so I was very suprised to find this forum. I remember the arguments back in the day!
Yay!
thanks for sharing.
Z.
Yea, this forum was a very nice addition!
Hope to see your posts here soon:-)
Thank you, Z!
This whole bw vs color dilemma is tearing me a new one. I usually like both - that is if there are only two, because sometimes you can produce way more versions that that, using various effects and intentions. Decisions, decisions...
