Silverback err, Brown Pelicans

These guys should really be named silverback pelicans. They have too much color to be named brown pelicans. These were taken with the D300, Siggy 120-300 with 1.4 TC and batched processed in DXO.

    Thanks! I think some of them did want their picture taken, especially the one that is the subject of the really close up shot. It made sure the light was catching it just right.

    Thanks! We have some white pelicans wintering on Mobile Bay, but they are not as accommodating to photogs like the brown pelicans are. I would like a chance to blow out the highlights:D
