Hi,

What you have to say about this lens. It worths the money (about 80 euros)?
Will work fine as a wide lens?

Currently I only have the EFS 18-55 that came with the body as a kit and a EF 28-80

thanks
best regards

It would appear that the Cosina 19-35mm, f3.5-f4.5 is also sold under the Vivitar, Phoenix, Quantaray and Promaster labels.

While it's not a horrible lens, it's not much of an upgrade from what you have and considerably less range. It will fit a full-frame body, so that might be a consideration.

Have you considered the Canon 18-55mm IS? Optically much nicer than the older non IS kit lenses.

I was looking for a wide angle lens, thats why that one call my attention, because of the price.

But here, in Portugal, i never see that brand (at least me), thats why i post.
I've no idea of the quality/price ratio for this.

    thanks

    Paulo,

Your existing EF-S 18-55mm lens is slightly wider than the Cosina.

If you want a "super-wide" zoom lens then look for:

    Canon EF-S 10-22mm, f/3.5-4.5 USM
Sigma 10-20mm, f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
    Tokina 12-24mm, f/4 PRO DX
    Tokina AT-X 11-16mm, f2.8 PRO DX
Tamron SP 11-18mm, f4.5-f5.6 Di-II LD Aspherical [IF]
Tamron SP 10-24mm, f3.5-f4.5 Di-II LD Aspherical [IF]

Note the small starting focal length in the 10-12mm range. Those are all wider lenses than your current EF-S 18-55mm lens.
