Sorry about the SUPER cheesy title, but I didn't want to make it too long, so I decided to not make a comment in it about internet gremlins breaking my interwebz. Yes, interwebz I am a pretty big Halo fan, and as such read the Bungie Weekly What's Update, and because of that I now, at times, throw some lolcats into my regular speech.
Anyway, now that I am done with all of that random rambling I will introduce myself, and keep in mind that this is being written while I'm a little hyper, so if I sound like an idiot, just ignore it.
I am a high school senior, and I have been interested in photgraphy since... well technically since I was around eight years old, when my dad gave me his father's old plastic Polaroid camera (yes, the POLAROID kind of Polaroid). I didn't really get into photography much until eighth grade, when I decided to apply to the school I am now going to, an arts magnet academy (just in case you're wondeing, no, it is not a private school, it's public).
At that point my uncle, who works for the Air National Guard as a photographer, lent me his Nikon N6006 and his Sigma 28-80mm lens. I've used that camera and lens since my freshman year. Last school year I took a Digital Photo class, and because of that I now have my Nikon D80 and Nikkor 18-135mm lens. I generally prefer shooting in digital because of the flexibility of the medium and because I don't feel like every shot has to be THE BEST shot, which usually makes me miss a lot of great shots. That Digital Photo class also got me my Adobe CS3 Standard Software Suite, and it's obviously easier and more cost efficient (depending on how much you print) than a darkroom, and it also carries less risk of giving you cancer.
Anyway, that's about it, I don't really want to bore anyone anymore with my long drawn out JOURNEY THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY (I used capitals to signify that it should be read in a a sterotypical B-Movie announcer voice, although it probably didn't really come through when first read), so I will just conclude this by saying hello.

Ignorance is no excuss, so lets DGrin!
Also, just as a side note, although I just started this account, I've looked at DGrin for a few months, and it reminds me a lot of my photo teacher, just the way people talk and interact with one another. Just a little observation.
