First, I can't seem to see difference sharpening in "customize gallery" why is this?
Second, the slide show does nothing in FF 3.0.5, it works in IE. Is there anyway to get this to work?
Thanks

I should also note the things I tried.

The sharpening settings only affect images you upload to that gallery after you've made changes to the settings. To see a change, you would need to change the settings, then upload new images, then look at the web-sized versions of those new images. These settings are there for the small number of people who have their own strong opinions about how much sharpening should be applied after downsizing for web display. If you don't have strong opinions on that, then most people never touch them because the defaults work quite well. Feel to experiment if you want.

What is the URL of your site? And, which slideshow are you asking about? Do you have one on your homepage? Or are you talking about the built-in slideshow in the galleries? 99% of the time when a slideshow works in one browser, but not the other, the problem is fixed by simply uninstalling and then re-installing Adobe Flash which takes only a few minutes. This can happen, even if you have the latest version of Flash.

Full screen slideshow works fine for me on that gallery so it must be something environmental. I'll leave you to work with Andy to figure it out.

Adblock and SmugMug slideshow are not working together - pls remove the plugin and try it, all should be fine.

Adblock is one of the most popular plugin's for firefox. Firefox itself have quite a large user share now. Given that all the users visiting our sites may not come to this forum to get this advice to remove the plugin, are there any plans to make slideshow work alongside adblock?

I believe that any action that causes the thumbs and web versions of your images to get regenerated will apply the current sharpening to those new versions. The things I know of that will trigger this are:
    • Rotating
    • Cropping
    • Any image editing in Smugmug
    • Watermarking
The favorite work-around I've seen used is to rotate left 90 degrees, wait for that to finish, then rotate right 90 degrees. It's non destructive, and you can do the whole gallery at once, but it works. The only drawback is that it can sometimes take a little while for the first rotate to finish before you can do the rotate back.
