Very nice work. Welcome to Dgrin. They are all good, but I like the last one the best.

All shots are good, but the first and last are excellent! I love the minimalistic effect in the first one, and the last one is a classic.

The first photo is one of my all time favs. It was a wonderful day to climb and even better to photo. A few others from that same day.

I'm a real fan of Shadow Lines and search them out whenever I see them on long climb/ski trips.

Great shots! Love the feel of solitude and scale.

As for that first photo! WOW! Jaw-dropping excellence on all ways, great color, composition and lighting. Bravo!

    Some wonderful photographs Thar.

There is something special about pic 1 that just draws me in. Your other shots are pretty spectacular - but No 1 is just great. It would look great blown up and hung on a wall.

Welcome to Dgrin...I can recommend the place (as a newby myself)

    Good luck and keep posting

    JOHN,

Thanks, I opened a smugmug account in order to share photos and my experiences. Still a lot of work figuring out how smugmug works, but doing my best.

What a beautiful entrance!! These are fantastic photos of the great outdoors. I think you'll fit right in and I hope that you can teach us something too! Our Artist-in-Residence has a similar style of showcasing the landscape by utilizing people, and it is a perfect combination when combined with the right light (as you have, here).

Welcome and clap.gif from out east!

You have a point. In fact, it wasn't until I put together a smugmug page a month ago that I noticed I had so many people in my photos. I'll be working on it :D. Promise. And I'll be sure to show you my efforts of non-people stuff just to keep the mix interesting.

Whoa, awesome series! Great use of people in the landscape, really shows the sense of scale in these beautiful locations.
