    • thumb.gif BW conversion is fine
    • thumb.gif she has great breasts!
    • :cry just like in your butterfly image, here we have another case of limbs cutting
    • :cry sun spots look random and non-professional. The only one I like is a spiral shadow on her right breast. In fact, the rest of the image does absolutely nothing to me ne_nau.gif (pose seems unnatural, facial expression uncertain), so, just like in butterfly case, I'd go for the extreme crop and left that spiral shadow part of the bosom only - and it would be a total killer if the spirals converged to the nipple deal.gif

    Hey Nik,

This b/w is supposed to be almost an artsy fartsy type of shot, without all the attention going straight to the breasts. The lighting was chosen specifically for the randomness that was coming thru the foilage. The spirals on her breasts are all natural and not post processed or placed there.

As for the limbs, I will quote an Old Tymer, who was also my professor, and who gave me a "D" on a photo project, a lesson that I learned quickly. He stated..."You can always cut a limb, just remember NEVER to cut the limb at the joint".

I do believe in this photo I followed the lesson I learned, as none of the limbs are cut off at the joint. Although, I could probably bring the crop in just slightly from the right (elbow area) .

Your critique is appreciated and thanks much for the warm welcome, I will be posting more soon. Whooooooohoooooo. I love this forum!!

Donna, I got the artsy vibe, but in that case, IMHO, you'd need more of those. Forgive me for saying that, but it doesn't look like you meticulosly positioned the model to acheive the effect, cause it's pretty obvious that you could have gotten much more spots if you just had moved her a bit...

Yeah, that's the elbow area I'm talking about. deal.gif

    Hey Donna,

If thats true, I wouldn't know it by looking at it. Although I did/do see the spiral and like its effect, When I look and re-look, it looks as if she is presenting her breasts!

Nice B&W and especially the contrast!

    cheers, tom

Oh I like this one the best! B&W really set it out, and I (personally) love the light on the breasts. I don't mind the loss of the right arm as much either, but the 1/2 inch of left arm does bother me.

However the pose and contrast on the photo points everything straight at the breasts and every little flaw from moles to tan lines sticks out.

It's definitely moving up the ladder though! Great work! thumb.gif
