Wow. Talk about seamless. You did a great job marrying the two photos. The perspective (the size of the green heron) may be a bit off. It seems too big but not by much. Overall though, you did a great job.
More CS4 practice. A composite of two shots at Horicon Marsh.
Boy Ric, all those birds in the background looks some of the wetlands down in Florida.
Send a few my way. Not many hanging around down here this year. When the lakes are down we had tons of birds. Now that the lakes are full.. not so many. Hardly any hawks this year, just a couple Harriers and I haven't seen any Red-Tails for a month or so. Last year hundreds of hawks (of all kinds) this year.. just two..

No, I think it looks good Ric! The heron in front could be darkened up a bit in my opinion!
Thanks, Brenton.:D
Yeah...on composites you really have to watch the lighting if you want it to look realistic. These shots were taken near the same time and at a very similar angle...that's why I picked them.
What's the use of going through all that work if you can't fool someone!

Nice CS4 work.
Horicon Marsh is the largest catail marsh in the US. Lots of places to hide.

Great job Ric, I agree with the seamless comment and also think that the heron could be a little smaller maybe.
This is great!

There won't be too many of these...just takes too long.
Thanks, Ben.:D
Well this is the "CS" you need to take a look at!
Thanks, Mark.:D
Thanks a lot, Bob.
.but to me it looks like a giant mutated green heron freak & I'm looking for Godzilla or mothra to break into the photo to battle it.
I'm thinking maybe if you blur the background a bit more it would help
Dave
You might like this version better.
Thanks, Dave.
