Possible New Feature Idea

I was browsing the smugmug products you can order and I noticed that you don't offer photo books but there is a partner ship with a couple web sites. Have you thought about trying to take one of those partnerships a step further? Here is my idea.

Basically these sites have a program you can download and design a photo book or "scrapbook" and then upload it to their site and order it. I'm thinking smugmug should partner with them and develop a web based version of that same program so a customer can view a photographers website and select the images they want to use maybe under the buy option someplace. Then when they checked out it would add it to the list of available images so they can then go in and design their book to have it ordered and printed.

Does this make sense?

Yep, that makes sense and we have on our to-do list some deeper integration with all our partners.

Currently in the photobook space we have partnered with two manufacturers. MyCanvas (smugmug.mycanvas.com) that has a web-based tool and Blurb (http://www.blurb.com/partner/smugmug) that is a downloadable client.

This definitely requires both sides to sync up on priorities/functionality/commissions etc.

    Thanks for the input.
