Anyone using the new Gitzo ballheads, like the GH3780QR?

Everyone loves Gitzo tripods, but Gitzo ballheads get no love. The new magnesium ones, like the GH3780QR, look sweet. I tried one in the store and it feels really solid. Anyone have any experience shooting with them? Is it a problem to find good plates for them?

    We had a discussion here recently about them. Nobody really new much about them. I scrounged up one review that said their motion was "herky jerky". No clue whether that's the same model though. Make sure you operate before you buy it.
