San Antonio Riverwalk - Minus the River!

Every year, the city of San Antonio drains the San Antonio River to clean it up along the famous Riverwalk. They drain the water completely, then send crews in to pick up debris. There was a photo in the paper this week of a very large snake they found--couldn't tell if it was dead or alive but it was a mean-looking one! I went downtown earlier this week to take some pics of all the debris, but it was mostly cleaned up already. We'd had a bit of rain the night before, so there was a small bit of water in the riverbed. You can see where the water level normally is--note the dark green along the concrete wall.

Here are a few pics for your "enjoyment."
