    Hey Rick...

Nice shots. I see your getting used to the D3.

I'm going to be working my way back from a cross country trip. I'll be passing thru Phoenix around the March 12th +/-. Any chance we can hook up so I can get in to photograph some hound practice?

The clarity is impressive considering how fast those animals can move! Practice makes perfect though, so you must have a few tries at this already. Very neat, thanks for sharing.

What do you use for autofocus settings, and focus points?

thanks Jzazzi. I appreciate your comments.

I use the following autofocus settings and focus points:

    "C"
    9 pt. dynamic
start at center focus point and let camera choose one of the 9
    Release+Focus
    Ch or Cl shutter
    Focus tracking lock "off"
    AF-ON button decoupled
    matrix metering

I will vary these at times but these are what I usually go with. I hope this helps. If you need any additional info please email me at rpgreyhound@gmail.com and I will help you any way that I can.

my best and good luck with your shooting :-)
