this school has new lighting ...they are the longer florescent bulbs it's much better that the old recycling ones.

Some of these were shot with my new (used 85mm) it's sharp when it hits but it seems a bit slow on the focus which surprised me. I'm wondering if it is an older lens that is slower.(??)

These are real nice photos. I've shot in a couple new HS gyms with the long, tubular flourescent bulbs and have noticed they are much brighter than the gyms that use the ones that look like big floodlights. However, I still notice some cycling, but not as severe as in older gyms. Some of your pics seem to have the reds oversaturated. This is similar to one new gym with this lighting that I shoot at. The skin tones get red-ish so I have to work with the saturation. I'm not sure if this is characteristic of this type of lighting.

Anyway, let's hope that more gyms start replacing their lights with these types!

They look sharp, but my monitor shows a reddish tint too.
