Our son is in the US Army Reserve. His unit has been called up (again). This time it is Afghanistan. Can someone recommend a rugid, small and waterproof digital camera for this environment?

My skiing and rockclimbing and kayaking buddies all love the Olympus SW range. thumb.gif

Vvet, welcome to the Digital Grin. clap.gif

I got my son a FujiFilm F40fd and a DiCaPac waterproof case, based on the responses of the thread here:

I'm not sure if you can still find that camera for sale but I do appreciate the low-light capabilities of the FujiFilm "Fxx" series cameras.

He managed to blow the camera up in Iraq during a training session, but that aside it is a splendid camera and we replaced it with the same model.
