Goslings in Boston area at last

I've been waiting for the goslings to appear for weeks. The geese have been paired up and acting territorial for more than a month. Suddenly, there are goslings everywhere. Does anyone know, is there some mechanism at work that causes them to hatch all at once?

If not now, when?

I don't know...but same thing happened here...just a few weeks earlier. The geese here seem to act as a community...and not just "mom and dad".

    Hey Rutt,

Cool captures. I don't know about geese but the birds down here have their mating seasons. Since the eggs are laid about the same time they usually hatch fairly close to each other. They will usually not leave the nest immediately.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Not sure about the timeing. I am surprised moma let you get this close. The geese here with goslings do not let anyone within 50-100 yards.
