20103484-L.jpg..and he is always in the same spot in Sydney's Circular Quay area. I give him a meat pie about once a week. Its a tight crop as I feel that it fits his world.

Composition, exposure, pose, everything is great! I love the black and white it adds an extra "mood" to the shot...Even though it is a sad one. This is an excellent candid shot. The natural light is just perfect.

Nice shot! That was my goal, to shoot those, not be one.

Sheila, I think its a wonderful composition. Yes, I'd like to see some details in dark areas, but as a whole - perfect, just perfect. My congrats!

Everyones said it all but this picture is awesome. Sometimes with the title of threads you don't know what you will get when you click to open. With this I was so happily surpirsed. It's a wonderful shot!

I'm also glad that you have offered him some help via food, while so many of these folks are in need of so much.

You mean to don't have this Aussie delicacy in NY! Actually, I usually give him an empanada (South American version of a meat pie!). The Aussie meat pie is a gastronomic experience one must not miss out when visiting downunder! In Harry's Cafe De Wheels, you can order a meat pie floater - a meat pie floating in gravy and peas - yum yum! So much for sophisticated Sydney:D
