Hi
I can get this lens (Brand new) for 150$ less than market price. Canon is selling it to clear the stock comes with warranty.
Any thoughts ? apart from range, i know 100mm is great but it is out of my range.
I will use 60mm for macros and portraits. :scratch
Other option is to save for 70-200 forever...

Or you could keep saving up for the 70-200 like me!

Reviews about picture quality are great. User opinion is also good, my concern is about light. Is it possible to make decent photos 1:1 without flash and small aperture ?. I heard increasing magnification results reduced light

At that price you could buy it now and sell it later with probably no loss in value. I say get the lens and then see what you can do with it. I believe in you and I know you can do great things with it.

Built very good to.
For insects its to short, but for other areas that you need macro its just golden. As for portraits, just the fact that is very very sharp full open..It is just a killer!
Thank for the insight i think i should go for it. Lets hope it is still with them.

I completely agree on goodness of 100, 105 mm lens. But both are way to expensive around double of what i may pay for 60mm
