    How about a B&W conversion? The color's just not there in this "painted desert" shot. rolleyes1.gif

    I personally find this more pleasing than the first simply because the color in the first one was so muted.

    I like the black and white better. looks like the sun was really bright and washed out the color.

    Have you tried to pull the purples out in the first shot? That and a little less of the upper left, and the color one would be far better than the B&W...IMHO, of course :D

    It's always a trade off, eh?

    Thanks everybody for the help, thoughts and comments. I think that there is a lesson here I keep learning over and over, don't shoot between 10am and 3pm in bright sunlight.....

    Ah yes... a difficult lesson for me to learn too. As for these images; of the first two I prefer the color version. But your re-do really seals the deal.wings.gif

    What about taking the redone colour one, and doing the b&w conversion on it on a separate layer and then letting some of the colour bleed through? I wonder what that would look like with this shot.
