Random changes to gallery?

I'm a new smugger, so apologies if this is user-error and/or I've missed an FAQ somewhere that addresses this (and point me to it!)

But recently, Weird Things keep happening.

A few days ago, about half my galleries suddenly decided to default to a slideshow format. I changed them from "viewer controlled" to SmugMug classic and that fixed that, but it was still pretty weird for it to change out of nowhere.

Now today, one - and only one - of my galleries suddenly resized itself so that thumbnails and text are TINY, and the big rendition of the picture selected jumps to the bottom (instead of to the right, as in the standard layout). In the affected gallery, the share button has vanished, also. This happened after I deleted about half a dozen photos that i no longer needed there.

I tried logging out and back in. I tried resetting everything to smug defaults, but the affected galleries remain the same.

I'm using Firefox 5.0 in Windows Vista.

Suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

    I'm sure you mean FF3, not 5.

Clear your cookies and cache, all will be well.

To clear your cache in Firefox on Windows, click on "Tools". Then select "Clear Private Data..." There will be a new window pop up. Make sure that the Cache check box is checked and click on the "Clear Private Data Now" button.

Duh - of course I mean 3. That'll teach me to read the "about" slug too fast!!!

Will go clear everything and see if it restores... Thanks!!

    Update:

Bad news - clearing everything made zero difference. headscratch.gif I can live with the mangled layout, but the lack of a share button is kind of a pain. Any other suggestions?

Any further thoughts on this? Multiple cache/cookie flushes and reboots haven't changed display, which is still showing with tiny text and thumbnails. I've tried changing it to "Smug Mug Small" and back again to "default" to see if that might fix it, but also with no success. It's only the one gallery - the rest of them display as set (smugmug default). headscratch.gif.

    Thanks for any further ideas!

If you can share a link to the specific gallery that has the issue, we can look and see if the issue is happening for us too and if there's anything unique about that gallery.

I had a problem in Firefox a while back where the large image in smugmug style was at the bottom left of the screen instead of being to the right of the thumbs. My problem was caused by the zoom text setting in Firefox.

In case you're experiencing the same issue - in Firefox, select the View menu item, select Zoom, and then Reset.

TINGTINGTINGTINGTINGTINGTING!!! That's it!! Totally fixed now.

THANK YOU!! I know it wasn't that big a deal, but it was just getting on my nerves... (esepcially since the large image would start out at the right as it should, and then the minute I'd mouseover it would jump to the bottom left and get "stuck" there).

BINGO! (Perhaps this should go into an FAQ somewhere since it clearly happens to more than one person in FF?)

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
