I recently upgraded to Photomatix 3.1 and CS4. I have since been going through my archives, and processed these images from my trip to Washington state last spring. Both are from Rialto Beach. Comments and suggestions welcomed.
1. A four exposure HDR.

Bryan, wow! I don't know why there aren't comments on this already. I absolutely love the effect of mist in trees and you have great moods here. Excellent and subtle use of HDR, particularly in the second. I never woulda guessed thumb.gif

The second is my favorite; it is very serene. I can almost feel the sunbeams on my face! Very pretty...

When HDR is done right, the images are fantastic. The HDR for these images was done right! Very well done, indeed! Beautiful! thumb.gifthumb.gif

Superb, especially #2--I feel like I could walk in there and see all those colors and have the sunbeams warm me up!! Very nice work.

Ain't no sunbeams in #1. Or not much anyway. #2, however, is really good. I like the tilted perspective too. thumb.gif

Very cool Bryan its amazing how Mora Road all of a sudden becomes so foggy for a few hundred yards then clears up. You made great use of the lighting in these images.
Don't know if you noticed it if you go back once over the bridge about 1/4 mile look to your right kinda hard to see but a solid black water lagoon. If the light is right I think this could be an awesome opportunity.

These are sweet! The second is my favorite.

I'm going to start calling these Bzdula Beams (just don't ask me to say that out loud because I'll probably pronounce it wrong). If Muench can have stars, I don't see why Bzdula can't have beams (plus, Bzdula Beams has a nice alliteration to it!).

Interesting story... I'm in Forks, WA right now (2 night stay, leave back home tomorrow morning). I was going to shoot at Ruby Beach for sunrise this morning until I checked the forecast last night. I noticed that La Push (near Rialto and Second Beaches) was going to have about 97% humidity and a matching dew point temperature and overall temperature around 10AM, which is a recipe for fog. Thinking back to your sunbeams shots I changed my plans and did Second Beach at sunrise, afterward, I walked through the woods on the way back and was greeted with some awesome Bzdula Beams. Hopefully I didn't screw them up!

Bzdula Beams, that's too funny Ron. There are so many others that capture sunbeams far better than I. It does have a nice ring to it.... :)

I can't wait to see what you captured!!!!

Thanks so much for the kind words everyone!!!

Heh, don't worry, I don't know how to pronounce Muench either :D

(I have a hard enough time with my own last name to worry about other people's).
