Real nice photos. How were you able to get their faces so clear? I have a hard time getting the shots so bright, and making their faces look crystal clear like these. Was the arena well lit? What kind of settings were you at for this game?

New D700, ISO 3200-6400. Light is not good. I normally add strobes, but just got the D700 and wanted to see how it did....

    Yo Tim,

C'mon, man... #1 looks like a studio promo shot with the white backdrop and even lighting!! rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif

Just kidding. Great grabs of the little guys. You're making me lust for a 300 lens now. Won't it ever end?

We need to get together with Steve if this weather ever breaks. Keep in touch.

    Regards,
    John

Tim, they are very nice, if you want to put up on wall in YOUR house.

Great sports photos, show PEAK action?

Where's the action, the puck? etc?

Not a lot of action in these games, house league, still a lot of bunching, but this was first games au natural with the D700. I have a few I'll dig out, but since I'm not shooting for the paper, Sportraits sell more...

When I strobe, I have 4 SB800s with 3 PWs, one on camera of course. Two SB800s on a Brewer Bracket, triggered by a PW, one set at each blue line.
