A Day Off from Work.

Business is slow, so the boss asked for a volunteer to take a day off. My hand went up, and this morning I took a short trip into the San Gabriel mountains to shoot whatever I came across. Along with the requisite shots of the Chrysler, I took several of the run-off from the prematurely melting Southern California snow (I dare you to say "Southern California Snow" without laughing! :D) This is my first favorite from this morning.

The water is beautiful. The upper third or fourth of the photograph... not as much. You might try focusing in on the water a bit more (I guess with a crop now, as you aren't on location). Nice photograph. :)

"Dreamy" is the right word for that water--very nice!

Nice, I think it would be stronger if you cropped the top.

    Hi Lee,

Very nice one. That's a great scene and you've done a superb job of capturing it. As you know, that's my kind of territory....wish I had been there with you.

Thank you, eveyone, for your very kind words.

Looking at it again, you're right about the top third or forth of the image. It does need to be cropped out. It's just too far away and too busy to add to the image. Thank you again.
