    I really like the shadows on the forest, but almost wish the grasses weren't there. But still a very nice shot. Have you thought about a B&W conversion (just to see how it looks, at least)? A 'portrait' composition might also be able to highlight the shadows more by showing more of them -- something to think about for next time. Very nice, simple shot. :)

    i like the way the way the shadows pull you across the picture and then the sharp turn upwards with the trunks and out of the shot. simple but effective.

    It is striking in a quiet way. I like the shadows; the grass doesn't bother me either; sort of adds to it. At first I thought it was in black and white.

    Good shot. The only nit I have is that the shadows draw the eye upwards to the right corner. But then there's something up there behind the trees which I can't make out. Without that clutter in the upper right this would be a very good shot.
