Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but when I upload my pics using Smugshot on my iPhone I don't see the EXIF info when I look at the photos in my gallery.

I'm not even sure if EXIF info gets included. If it doesn't, it would be great if it did.

Hi Meems and welcome to Dgrin! wave.gif

Currently, no exif data is included using SmugShot. So you didn't do anything wrong.

This is one thing that I would like to see added, at least for Owner. Is it being considered by SM team?

Yes, Apple doesn't make it easy, so we had to buy some code, we've done that, now it has to be integrated, etc.

Hi, Andy. Will Exif be for Owner only and Visitor optional?

no - it would be just like exif is now, for all.

    Any update on this issue?

I just bought an iPhone and noticed that a bunch of iPhone photos are not sorting properly by capture date in Lightroom.

After poking around in the files in several apps and then locating this thread, now I know why: The ones that sort wrong are the ones I took with Smugshot. There is no EXIF Capture Date to sort by. This means, like scans, they won't sort properly in any software or online service I use that sorts by the EXIF Capture Date. Now I'm looking for a Mac GUI program that can take the file creation date and shove it into the EXIF Capture Date. Any ideas?

Edit: Managed to solve my date problem inside Lightroom by using Lightroom's Edit Capture Time to set the Capture Time to the File Creation Date. However, this doesn't seem to create any new data in the file itself, so it doesn't solve the problem outside of Lightroom. Also, now I noticed that iPhone photos taken with Smugshot also can't identify themselves as iPhone in the camera EXIF. Hope we see a Smugshot update soon!
