What is the quality of the prints? Cardstock, color reproduction, gloss coatings, uv coatings, what are the prices, how is shipping...etc...?

too bad they don't list smugmug as one of the partners to import from.... would make it much easier.

also too bad that it's not offered for the 50 card pack. *shrug* spying on the gift horse and all that I guess.

I would jump all over this except... Its not for the MINI cards. Thats why I would go to moo.

I have seen the mini's and the stock is good, prints are good, and they are unique.

Everyone knows and loves the mini cards. The reason they set up this deal is for people to feel an incentive to try their Business Cards :)

I think it is a good idea. I am looking at them for personal cards, not business cards. You might ask what is the difference, these are my personal information that I give to a friend when the want my website, e-mail... etc not for work. I am just trying to pick what to get. Very cool idea.

Wow! I just received my order and WOW, they are really nice! I not only love how they look, but I really love how they feel. The paper is ultra thick and ultra smooth to the touch. They are the most luxurious business cards I've ever seen.

They are obviously pricey compared to what you can get out there in the market these days, but I have learned that you do get what you pay for when looking for high quality products. I loved the option of mixing up the designs in one order and the photos look really nice on them.

I'm not sure if I'd use the Moo cards exclusively right now. As a start up business, I'm not sure I can afford to freely hand them out to just anyone, but I can definitely picture the situations when I would use them.

For those in Canada, I can't remember exactly what the shipping options were, but I went with the regular post option as I wasn't in a terrible rush for the cards. They were delivered via Canada Post and I did have to pay COD for GST, PST and a handling fee. The total extra cost was about $13.00 CDN.

Thanks Moo for having this promotion so I could try out these cards! :D

    Markham -

My feedback would be that I missed seeing this until now. I check DGrin daily, but this thread failed to get my attention. If you want to promote deals like this (which I hope you will keep trying to do), you need to find a better way to attract an audience.

I took advantage of the Blurb deal a while back and I think deals like these are a great way to expose Smugmuggers to products they might not ordinarily find out about on their own.

    My $0.02 -

Yes, I wish we did have a better way to announce these for "almost" partners.

Maybe the MOO guys will extend this promotion. You still have until tomorrow night.

No, I'm not upset or anything. I'm not in the market for this product anyway. I just wanted to make the point that there needs to be a better way to make these kinds of partnerships known to your customers, that's all.

I got my business cards a couple of days ago. While I love the look and feel and the ability to have multiple designs, I have to say I'm disappointed that they printed out darker than I would've liked. I also ordered some mini cards and am awaiting their arrival. I hope they don't look dark, too.

I had the same experience with the business cards. I'm also waiting for some mini cards, and I also hope they aren't as dark. I suspect they will be though since I assume the same printing process is used.

Dang! I missed this! I've got the mini's and was thinking of going with a set of regulars as well. LOVE THEIR PRODUCT! They are "silky" and thick. They feel and look good. What's on the screen is what came in the box. Smugmug needs them as a partner! Uploading directly from SM would be a huge plus.

Thank you! I just sent an e-mail off. Again, I'm pleased with the overall quality of the cards, they were just darker than I'd like. I did receive my mini cards and they were dark, too. I go through a lot of cards, so if this can be overcome, I know I'll be a regular customer.

Thanks! I waited until the MiniCards arrived, then contacted your customer service team. The color issues with the business cards were also in the MiniCards.

Your support team responded very quickly, saying that the problem was (likely) caused by a new image enhancement feature that is not behaving on some orders. They re-ordered both sets of cards (at no charge) without the problem feature. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the replacement cards solve the problem. Little MOO has already sent me status emails...

    Smooth on both sides?
I have not seen the "Moo cards" but based on your description where you state they are ultra smooth to the touch....

I hope that doesn't mean those super glossy coated cards that feel like they've been laminated on both sides? Because one should never IMO coat the back side of the card.... people like / tend to write notes on the backs of a business card. Always make sure the back of the card can be written on with a simple pen or pencil.

You sound very happy with the cards and I wish you the best of success using them and, success with whatever business you are promoting. I may get a "sample pack" from them first and see how they look before trying them but it's a good deal for Smuggers.

Yay! Reprinted cards are much better!
I'm a very satisfied customer! I posted previously that I was disappointed because my order printed out slightly darker than I had expected. I contacted customer service and received a very prompt response and a note saying they would reprint my order because an enhancement process wasn't used on my first order.

I just received my re-printed cards today (business and mini cards). I'm delighted because they look awesome! Since I was out of cards, I did hand out the originals and the response has been amazing. Every single person has immediately commented on the feel of the cards--silky smooth and heavyweight. (I haven't run into anyone around here who has cards of this quality.) I uploaded about 20 different images, so I have a nice variety pack that shows samples of my work, while the back of the card has my contact info.

The only problem is (well, it's not really a problem)--the cards look and feel so nice, people want more than one image. That's okay as long as they're passing them out to others. But my business referral group has said they're so nice, they don't want to pass them out! They're treating them like collector's cards....

Anyway, I just want to say how pleased I am with these cards and I'll definitely be ordering more (since I go through them fairly quickly). I do a lot of business networking in the community, so it's important for me to have great-looking cards and I'm very happy with these.

I've had two orders of mini cards so far and now am considering the full sized ones as well. I've been EXTREMELY happy with both orders and have handed them out like crazy. People react to the fact that they are 'different' (small sized), have photos and feel 'rich'. Like the previous poster, the only problem I have is people wanting multiples and KEEPING them :D

Even if they did, you may not be able to use it right now. Moo.com currently has a free shipping promotion running, and if you try to apply any promo code, you get an error that says you can't combine offers, and yet it won't let you choose the offer that saves you more money. So if the Smugmug promo code would have saved you $20, and the free shipping promotion only saves you $17 (at least to my postal code), you are forced to take the $17.

Because it works this way I have delayed an order until the free shipping promo goes away so that I can save more money.

The bright side is that if you don't have a promo code and you do order while the free shipping offer is in effect, you'll still save $17...

For wedding photographers--how do you share your website link?
As a wedding and event photographer, I've toyed around with different ways to share my website link where the photos will be posted with guests. I think I've just discovered my solution to the problem--Moo Mini cards, which I'm calling my "Share the Link" cards.

Here's my blog entry about the cards with photos: http://blog.birchtreephotography.com/2009/05/my-best-idea-yet.html

I'm thinking these may work well, but what has worked best for you?
