Ok, I went for a walk about today looking for hair. A hutong in Beijing on a very cold winter's days. I would like C&C on all three. Not much chance to go back and re-shoot, but I will head out again tomorrow with a native speaker and have an idea in mind of 'backs-of-heads.

#1 has the most potential. I would try to crop it so that the dog's face is the main feature and turn this into a portrait. Some added contrast will bring out the texture of the hair very nicely. I love how the background matches the dog.

#2 is OK. But the cat's left eye disturbs me.

#3 is just a bit to blurry for my taste. ne_nau.gif

I prefer the cat shot because he seems to have some tough history. But I'm more focused on his scars than on his "hair".

Thanks for the comments. Here's a much tighter crop of the dog. I liked the shots of the cat, but I think the emphasis is too much on the battle scars than the hair. Still, he was a sweetie, if wounded kitty.

I didn't get the chance to do what I'd hoped to over the weekend, but there still might be one or two shots that I can work with. I'll give them a work over and post them as well.
