Not sure what category this shot falls into. I have seen some awesome pictures here and I'm just a noob, but I would like to share this photo because I think it's one of my best.
I called it, A Journey Begins. If you have ideas about how to improve it, I'd appreciate it.

Hi there brickbat, the background in this shot is distracting.
You can see the buildings are all leaning to the right, and the water therefore appears to be also on an angle.
You will improve as you learn more, so I would encourage you to shoot more and more.
I think a heavy crop would look good, hope you don't mind this is only a suggestion, feel free to totally reject it.
Your title of A Journey Begins is till quite fitting ... Skippy

:skippy Everyone has the right to be stupid, but some people just abuse the privilege :dgrin
What's that skip? The photo needs a crop?
"Ts Ts Ts Ts Ts Ts Ts Ts"
Yeah it is distracting Skip. I'll crop the photo and you go get Mr. Hammond.
Thanks for the advice Skippy. I'm from Melbourne.
