Used a torch to do this.

Couldn't decide which one I preferred, so I added all three to look at. :)

Not that I know anything anymore after fifty frickin' years, but I like the FIRST shot the best.

Probably the heat transfer influences--and how they affect air flow in natural convection--that made me decide that.

Speaking of heat (or the lack thereof), hows that North Atlantic winter treating you in the UK?

mwink.gif Thanks for the considered reply Steve..

The erm weather... It is cold, dark, and blowing a gale tonight. Deffo a night for being in bed, not in front of a PC.

    Oy. a GALE.

Not all that much a stranger to those, growing up for 14 years near the west shore of Lake Michigan.

But hey: have a nice ALE (or two, or three:slurp ) by a nice fire and stay in front of that PC.

The only thing you get when in your bed is...YOU get some sleep. The rest of us D-grinners get nothing--NOTHING, mind you--in terms of glimpses of those windswept Isles you live in.

So keep 'em comin', mate! And stay WARM whle you're at it!

    Excellent experimenting Paul :)
LOve the light refraction in the glass.
I find the background light a bit distracting though - wonder if it's possible to make it more OOF or even from the side ?

How long were the exposures ?

    Wow... very nice... clap.gif

I've been meaning to try some torch lighting effects like that too...

The first one is nice but it seems like the glass is closer than the other two?
