Some shots of window gnats hanging around on some melon peel. #2 & #3 at 4:1 mag. Not sure I like the last shot but was just trying to capture the wing patterns.

Incredible series. I personally like the last one. The wing pattern is a nice contrast that leads the eye back and forth.

Thanks for the comments all - much appreciated.

Phil - first 3 shots are on a section of honeydew melon rind and the last shot a rather aged section of canteloupe melon. The light curved surface of the melon really throws the light around- I was also shooting at +2.0 FEC.
