They are all really close to being the same, which is probably why I can't decide. Which one should I enter, 1, 2, or 3... or try something different?

#1 is the best of the bunch, imo - and a terrific idea!
They're all great, but for me #2 has the most texture of the hair itself (and what beautiful hair it is!)
Bravo!
For me it's No.1, but can you pp it a bit to make it pop a little more? ( maybe a little USM, say 18,155 ( %, radius) )

I have not tried this yet, but I did sharpen the lock of hair up a bit and played with curves... Is this the right kind of pop?

That's much better, yes the latest version pops, or jumps out of the page, better.
The USM suggestion I gave would do sorta the same thing, when you use a low % and a high radius it boosts the midrange contast and just adds some clarity, it's worth experimenting with it to get the results that look pleasing to you.
