I went up to the skagit river in Washington state to shoot eagles. The trip was fun, the photography was so so. I only got three keeper (I expected a lot more) but it was my first time up there.

Did you not see that many eagles, or just not that many close enough to photograph? I'm wondering how the recent flood on the Skagit affected their numbers (obviously affected the number of photographers since highway 20 was closed for a few days!).
I might try and make it up one more time this year (was going to this weekend but went to Forks for some beach shooting instead).

Ron, There were quite a few up there. If I were to guess, I would say I identified 25 to 30i ndividual eagles in a 10 mile stretch. It was my first time up there so I spent a lot of my time looking for the best spots, not many that allows the morning sun at your back that I could find. I also had my wife with me so I had to divide my time.
And what can ya say about Buggsy ...........
