Derelicts

Came across these two derelicts looking like a couple of old workhorses put out to pasture. Something about rust draws me like a magnet. According to the owner, the dump truck (closest to the camera) was working last year. More rusty old stuff can be seen here.

As always, C&C is appreciated.

Rust! What a great find. Love this kind of series. # 7 is my fave, # 6 is quite telling, though, 1977!thumb.gif

    Hi Jack,

Great stuff here. Like you, I'm attracted to this kind of subject. You stumbled onto a real find with all this stuff. It always makes me wonder....at what point does equipment like this become unusable. Using that one truck up until last year must have been really stretching it. Very nice work.

Hey there Jack, I can see why you are drawn to RUST.
It's something you never want to see on your own car,
yet we get excited to see it on someone elses vehicle rolleyes1.gif

Image number five is very impressive too with the rope actually growing what looks to be some kind of lichen.
Interesting how the Lichen is also growing on the rusty panel that the rope is on.....like the rust, it too is consuming all that it touches.

Thanks for sharing Jack, good find on your part thumb.gif ... Skippy :D

Thanks Azzaro. I tried not to over process them but couldn't resist a little color/contrast enhancement on #7. 7 & 5 are my favorites.

Would you mind divulging the equipment used?

Thanks Tom. That truck is in fact for sale!! I can't wait to get back there (once the snow is gone) to try out my new Nikkor 14-24mm lens on it

Hi Bob thanks for the nice words. Whenever I'm driving around (without my camera) and see ROS (rusty old stuff), I try to remember the location. (Usually I can't find it again :cry )
