Using PS/CS4 on an 20" iMac 2.33 C2D and need to create an action that will add my logo to the lower right hand corner of images...

Please see attached-each time I try to run it it stops and gives me the error message seen in attachment...any suggestions? :cry
I've written and used many actions in the past - however never using the move tool to add additional items to an image - probobly right in front of my nose but have been beating my head against the wall for hours now :dunno I did check both search here and help on adobe but found nothing that addresses this issue -

Help Please!!

Don't you first have to have a Selection, in order to be able to Move it?ne_nau.gif

Thanks for the suggestion Pathfinder... thumb.gif

I tried each way of selecting after seeing your reply - as it turns out, I think I just wasn't selecting the right item :cry

This motivated me to go googling and after checking and trying 10 or so methods posted on various sights I finally found this and after some fine tuning IT WORKED!! wings.gif

Not only that it's set up to scale the logo to whatever size you choose (if resizing) and to place in corner of your choice whether its landscape OR portrait (woo, whoo!!)
even more than I hoped to accomplish - but saved me rewriting multiple versions for down the road...

Figured since it's 2:15 a.m. pacific and have been at it since 10:45 p.m. this may save others some searching...might even be worth noting as a sticky (?) as can be very handy for any photog's wishing to watermark / add logos etc deal.gif

    thats it for now...

I'll have to give this a try myself.

May be while as I am going to be very busy for the next thirty days or so though.

If it works as well as you describe, it should join the tutes here on dgrin, I agree.

    Cool!

Just want to make it clear all I did was FIND the info...(then some very minor tweeks to suit my individual needs) this 'action' is way beyond anything I am capable of creating rolleyes1.gif ...Kudos to the 'writer' (and google) bowdown.gifthumb.gifbowdown.gif

Just a brief update on this action...I ran into a problem with some files not having consistantly resized logo's placed so I contacted the Society of Northern Ohio Professional Photographers (sonopp.com) and the author replied - one Mr. Bill Ford - he took the time to investigate my situation (I sent him the actual images and my logo) and was able to determine that a minor but important step needed to be added - that being the logo you are adding MUST meet 2 criteria 1) the logo MUST be same dpi as the images you're working with 2) MUST be wider than any images you're working with (it must need to be reduced in every case - EX: my images came from a Canon 20D so they are 3504 px wide as originals so my logo must be wider than that in order for the action to work properly-at first it wasn't)

Here's the link to his updated tutorial and please peruse their site as there are many other tut's posted:

Big thanks to Bill Ford for his time and trouble to work this out !! It's a great action that by using the 'place' command (rather than the 'move' tool I originally was stuck on) can make your life much easier!
    :D:Dthumb.gifwings.gifdeal.gifwings.gifthumb.gif:D:D
(and yes, this IS something to write home to mom about!!)
Here's my new version of the action (the main difference is the percentage in the 'place' step (originally was like 200% and that was my problem) now the reducion is like 40% and gives perfect results on any/all size 'originals' that I run thru...
