Good afternoon, I have a friend who is is getting her post graduate degree and asked me to shoot the event for her. It will be about 2-3 hours. Can anyone advise as to how much I should charge and what sort of package /photos should I include in the package.) I would appreciate any and all available help.

    ne_nau.gif Hi Reynaldo
I suppose it all depends on how close a friend you're talking about. Also how experienced you are. If this is your first gig and your friend knows it that would be one matter. If you are in business to do this sort of thing that would be another. If you charge to photograph then you are expected to get professional results. In my opinion this venue is not friendly towards real professional work per say. Basically flash on camera stuff. If they are willing to pose with a background and studio light than that's different.
Personally I would look at it as a "location shoot". I charge $ 250.00 to show up and photograph for 2 hours. Any additional time is pro-rated. I would either give them proofs or a proof CD for that price along with a reprint price list. It's been my experience that this type of shooting generates a lot of talk and promises but very little revenue after the fact.
I'd be glad to offer further dialogue after getting a few answers. Good luck, bsvirginianheadscratch.gif

Thanks, you are right on Que. I was looking in the range of $ 350 for 2 hr. session
    1 (11X14)
    2 (8X10)
    3 (5X7)
and about 60 to 80 wallets
    and a high resolution CD
